Although it is not a groundbreaking study, it still makes a significant contribution to performance studies on queer tango. Thanks to her ethnographic research in female-only queer tango circuits in Buenos Aires, she pushes the reader to think critically about the “appropriateness” of bodily practices imposed by heteronormative imperatives.
