The design of the spark gap of a pulsed high-current electron accelerator controlled by laser radiation is described. The results of testing the spark gap during operation as a primary switch in a high-current accelerator of the Radan type are presented. The developed spark gap provides an accelerator switch-on jitter of no worse than 0.3 ns.
